Jacob Ellis

Jacob Ellis is a Chicago-based Filmmaker, Screenwriter, Comedian, and Sound Mixer/ Boom Operator.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, he moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University, where he graduated with a BFA in Film and Television with a concentration in Directing and minors in Screenwriting and Comedy Filmmaking.

In addition to schoolwork, he was also the President of the DePaul TV Incubator, a student-run filmmaking organization that develops and produces original scripted and unscripted web series content, and a show host for Radio DePaul Sports, where produced the award-nominated show, Sports You’ve Never Heard of.

In his free time, he enjoys collecting vinyl records, making his own pickles, and yelling at his favorite sports teams through the TV.
